Less pain equals less brain power

It's taken several weeks and dosage increases but the gabapentin is finally working. I actually slept for 8 hours last night. I can't remember the last time I managed that and when I woke up, it wasn't from the pain in my leg. I just hope it's the beginning of a trend and not a one day miracle.

The only downside is that the higher dosage of gabapentin I take, the worse my memory gets. It's odd, my memory has been fading from the chronic sleep deprivation and now that I can finally get more than an hour of sleep at a time, my memory is getting worse from the medication allowing me to get that sleep.

Of course, I'm still in pain during the day but it's getting manageable and I'm so grateful for that.
